Cost of a trek in Nepal - travel
Costs of a trek in Nepal
Most of the trekking routes will fall under some protected area. The ABC (Annapurna Base Camp) falls under ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project), and the EBC (Everest Base Camp) falls under Sagarmatha National Park. You will be required to pay nominal entrance fees to enter these areas. Fees will differ for different destinations.
Costs of the trip will depend on your destination, number of days, and your support team. As a rule of thumb, the inaccessible the destination, longer the trip and larger your support crew, the higher the cost.
Of course, trekking with a guide found through a travel agency can cost you around 20-50 euros/day and trekking by yourself can cost you around 5-10 euros. |
